Dan M. Webb, 77, of Crossett died Wednesday, January 4, 2006, at his grandson's residence, which had been the Webbs' home for the past year. Born August 12, 1928, in Lawson, AR, to Frank and Mattie Jerry Webb, he was in the grocery business for 25 years. He was a minister for 36 years, having pastored Meridian Baptist Church for 20 years and Community Chapel for 10 years.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Lillie Webb of Crossett; two daughters, Mary Ann Land of Crossett and Cindy Webb of Burkett, TX; one sister, Nell Nash of Magnolia; three grandchildren, Sunny Westerman, Joey Westerman, and Sam "Trey" Land; and two great-grandchildren, Kimberly Land and Trent Land.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 7, in the Meridian Baptist Church with Revs. James McCain and Karvin Adams officiating. Interment followed at Pinewood Memorial Park under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett.
Pallbearers were Mike Sturdivant, Allen Jackson, Bill Scroggins, Troy Farmer, Jack Hamm, Sam Land, Larry Goyne, and Danny Smith.
