60TH ANNIVERSARY IS OBSERVED
On Sunday, January 5, Uncle Jim and Aunt Rachel Kirkland quietly observed their 60th wedding anniversary at the home of their daughter, Mrs. I. L. Amacker, in Gulfport.
There was no formal celebration because Uncle Jim and Aunt Rachel, who are 85 and 80 years of age respectively, have not been too well lately. Uncle Jim will enter the hospital in Vicksburg soon for treatment.
In addition to Mrs. Amacker the other Kirkland children are: Mrs. J. D. Seales of Jonesville, La.; Mrs. L. C. Burns of Gulfport; Mrs. Ora Magee, and Haschal Kirkland of Jackson; and Mrs. Paul Wright of New Mexico.
