Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Betty Gray Hansen, 90, passed away May 7, 2014 in Richfield.

She was born February 6, 1924 in Inverury, later renamed Central Valley, to Wallace Parker and Ayah Dausel Gray. She spent her entire life in Central Valley along with her sister, Maxine and brothers, Robert S. "Bob" and Bill. She graduated from South Sevier High School.

She married Donald H. Hansen, December 27, 1945 in Central Valley after returning home from serving in the Navy during WWII. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple. He preceded her in death October 19, 2007.

Betty was active in the Central Valley Ward, where she served faithfully in many capacities, she enjoyed the ward quilting circle where many quilts were made, she also created a quilt for each of her grandchildren. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed cooking, playing the piano and family camp-outs, especially the Gray family outing near Fish Lake over the Labor Day weekend each year. Many people will remember Betty for her kind and gentle service at Christensen's Department Store in Richfield, retiring after 24 years.

She is survived by her children: Thomas D. (Julie Ann) Hansen of Layton, Larry G. (Patricia) Hansen and Jack G. (Pam) Hansen, both of Richfield; Patrick G (Debbi) Hansen of Bend, OR; 19 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; brother Bill (Irene) Gray and sister-in-law, Marjorie Gray, all of Central Valley; She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Maxine (Raymond) Nielson; brother, Bob Gray and two great-grandsons.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 12:00 Noon in the Central Valley 1st LDS Ward Chapel, 65 North Main in Central Valley, where friends may call on Monday morning from 10:00 to 11:30. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery
