PAWNEE -- Martha Mildred "Peggy" Bledsoe, resident of Ralston, died Tuesday, July 8, 2003, at her home in the Big Bend area west of Ralston. She was 79.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 10, in the chapel of Poteet Funeral Home in Pawnee with Ray Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Fairfax Cemetery.
Martha Mildred Bledsoe was born Feb. 15, 1924, in Nelagoney, Okla., the daughter of George Franklin Conner and Mary Catherine Wadsworth Conner. She married Lee Bryant Bledsoe Sr. on May 12, 1941, in Goldfield, Nev.; he died June 17, 1962. She later married Charles Eugene Miller. She was a farmer and homemaker west of Ralston where she lived since 1951.
She enjoyed fishing, hunting, making quilts and cooking.
Survivors include her husband of the home; three sons, Lee Bledsoe Jr., Billy Ray Bledsoe and Gary James Bledsoe, all of Ralston; four sisters, Stella Lawrence, Amy Shaw and Ruby Metzner, all of Chowchilla, Calif., and Vivian Whitson of Wynona; three brothers, George Conner of Ralston, Ray Conner of Fairfax and John Conner of Eureka, Calif.; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her first husband; her parents; an infant brother; a sister, Lilly Conner; and two brothers, Jake Conner and Jim Conner.
