S.B. (Barney) Davidson, 64, died Saturday, September 21, 1946, at 10 a.m. at his home on George Street in Carmichaels. He had been in poor health the past eight months. Mr. Davidson was born January 7, 1882, at Carmichaels, a son of the late J. Calvin and Myra Gregg Davidson. He had spent most of his life in the Carmichaels district except for six years in Youngstown, O., where he was employed by the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company. He had been employed for 25 years as a civil engineer at the Buckeye Coal Company mine at Nemacolin. A well known and highly respected citizen of Carmichaels, he was active in community affairs, had served for a number of years in the borough council and was a member of the Methodist Church and the men's Bible class. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mardena Brewer Davidson; a step-son, Paul Brewer of Carmichaels; one sister, Miss Lillian Davidson of Carmichaels; and a brother, Robert Davidson of Indiana, Pa.; a sister, Lona, is deceased.
