Mrs Laurine G Howell Harstine, 74, 48 North Sheffield Avenue, a retired schoolteacher, died yesterday in Winona Memorial Hospital. She taught at Schools 15 and 49 and in the Wayne Township school system during her career. She retired in 1969.

A resident of Indianapolis 55 years, she was a member of West Park Christian Church and Indiana State Teachers Retirement Association. She was a Sunday school teacher for 50 years at the church.

She was a graduate of Butler University.Services will be held at 1 pm Tuesday in Royster and Askin Mortuary. Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.

Survivors include the husband, Clyde R Harstine; a daughter, Mrs Ray Funk of Indianapolis; two stepdaughters: Mrs Vernal K Gehl of Evansville and Mrs Marjorie Templeton of Danville, and the mother: Mrs Alta Floyd of Indianapolis.

Mrs Laurine G Howell Harstine, 74, 48 North Sheffield Avenue, a retired school teacher, died yesterday at Winona Memorial Hospital.

She taught at schools 15 and 49 and in the Wayne Township school system during her career. She retired in 1969.
