Dewayne Dee Large, 15, of Route 4, Quincy, died at 9:42 p.m. Friday (May 24, 1991) in St. Mary Hospital as a result of an auto accident.
Born Oct. 5, 1975, in Topeka, Kan., Dewayne was a son of Dennis and Jean McDowell Large. A ninth grader at Quincy Junior High School, he was a member of the school wrestling team and played baseball for the Great River Bluffs Community Center.
Survivors include his father of Salina, Kan.; his step-father and mother, Richard and Jean Kindhart of Quincy; a brother, Dennis of Quincy; grandparents, Guy and Frances Large of Saverton, Mo., Wilma Large of Topeka and Earl and Mary Weitnauer of Quincy; a step-grandmother, Imogene Kindhart of Quincy; and his great-grandmothers, Mrs. Victor Lange and Jenny Tremel, both of Quincy. He was preceded in death by a grandfather, James McDowell, and step-grandfather, Troy Kindhart Sr.
Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home by the Rev. George Tomko. Burial will be in Akers Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and before the service Wednesday.
Memorials may be made to the Dewayne Large Memorial Fund.
