MUNCIE – Loretta "Rita" Rogers, 82, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 2, 2014 at her residence after an extended illness. She was born April 23, 1932 in Muncie to Robert H. and Hallie (Curtis) Patterson. Rita attended Royerton High School. She was the co-founder of C & R Provider Services, working as manager and driver. Rita was a member of Harris Chapel Church of the Nazarene and the Red Hat Society of which she was Queen of her chapter.
Rita is survived by two sons Arnold Roy Rogers, Jr. (wife-Penny), Muncie; Mark Rogers (wife-Tammy), Muncie; one daughter Diana Thornbro (husband-Phillip), Muncie;
three brothers Robert W. Patterson (wife-Sandy), Tennessee, Roy Patterson (wife-Angela), Tennessee; Jimmy Patterson (wife-April), Texas; thirteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Rita was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Arnold Roy Rogers, Sr., one son Bruce Rogers, one grandson Bruce Rogers II three brothers Aubrey, Orville, and Austin Patterson, three sisters Lucille Rosinski , Irene Cox, and Gladys Richmond.
