BOOS, William R. age 85, of Beavercreek, OH passed away on Friday, May 2, 2014 at The Hospice of Dayton following a brief illness. He was born in Dayton, OH on September 12, 1928 to Henry and Olga (Hansen) Boos, who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his son, Michael in 2007, his son-in-law, Roland Markee in 2012, and two brothers, Albert and Edwin Boos. William is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Nettie (Ochs) Boos; his three children, Brenda Markee, David and wife, Rhonda Boos and Becky Mirdamad; a daughter-in-law, Pandy Boos; a sister, Alice and husband, Grayson Rudy; three sisters-in-law, Pat Boos, Lilah Himes and Mary Kittle; 8 grandchildren, Steven and wife, Pam Boos, Jeffrey and wife, Cari Boos, Heather Boos and fiancee, Dave Jones, Brian Boos, Daniel Clark, Morgan Mirdamad, Jennifer Markee, Christopher and wife, Rachel Markee; 2 great grandchildren, Ayden and Addison Boos. He was a longtime and active member of Fairhaven Church and was retired Vice President of United Way in which capacity he was a major fundraiser for General Motors. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2014, from the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Road at Grange Hall Road. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery.
