Adelbert A. Downs was born November 15, 1931 in New Bridge, Oregon. He was the fifth child of George Washington Downs, Sr., and Emily Isabel Holcomb.

Del died October 5, 2003. He married Dorothy Ann King on March 26, 1959. They had five children.

He had an accounting and tax practice in the Midvale area for 40 years. In April 1999, Del and Dorothy retired and moved to their mountain home in Tabonia, Utah where they enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening.

Del is survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughters, Denise Downs, Sandy; Donna Minter, Rathdrum, Idaho; Doreen Porter (Lynn), Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; Darla Tucker (Ron McClintock), Las Vegas, Nevada; 13 grandchildren and two great granddaughters; brother, George W. Downs Jr. (Ann), Tabonia; sister, Lillian Simonis (Ellis), Ogden; nieces, nephews, aunt and uncle. Preceded in death by a son, Darren; parents; sisters, Vivian Hahn and Fonda Buckingham.

Funeral services Wednesday, October 8, 2003, at 11:00 a.m. in the Goff Mortuary 8090 So. State where friends may call Wednesday one hour prior to services. Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
