BROWN, Jeffrey A. (Age 71) We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jeff Brown on April 24, 2013 after a short illness. Jeff was born September 20, 1941 in Spokane, WA to parents Sue and Crawford Brown. He graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1960 and went on to attend Eastern Washington University. He married Dorothy Abrams August 28, 1963. As an English teacher at University High School for 31 years, Jeff touched the lives of many students. After his retirement, Jeff became very active in the CVEA and served as president and later as secretary. An avid car enthusiast, Jeff was a member of the Duke's Car Club and enjoyed showing his prized 1937 Chevy at many car shows and events. He was a talented raconteur, with a sharp wit, who delighted in telling jokes and putting a humorous spin on stories. He was a loving father and grandfather who cared deeply for his family and will be missed by many. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Sue and Crawford Brown, his brother Joe, and his son Richard. He is survived by his family members, a sister and brother-in-law, two daughters and sons-in-law, eight grandchildren, nieces, nephews as well as his close companion of three years [survivors names omitted]. A memorial service will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, 508 N. Government Way on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.—Spokesman-Review, Apr. 28, 2013
