For eight-seasons, he played with the Boston Americans 1901-08) and part of the 1908, season with the Detroit Tigers. Altough he was not a part of the Boston Americans World Series win in 1903, he helped the Detroit Tigers win the American League pennant in 1908. He concluded his career with a record of 83 wins, 102 loss, 4 saves, 9 shutouts, 568 stikeouts and a 2.07 eraned run average. He also was a decent hitting pitcher, with 114 hits, 56 runs scored, 1 home run, 20 runs batted in and a .193 batting average.
