The Rev. Frank R. Hinebaugh of Zion United Methodist Church will officiate and burial will be in Nasonville Cemetery.
Friends may call at Hansen Funeral Home from 2-9 p.m. Sunday and again Monday until time for services. Mrs. Earl Meissner will be organist and Mrs. Lawrence Dix Sr., soloist. Pallbearers are to be John Haske, Wilbert Dix, Willard Steltenpohl, Sylvester Fait, Wayne Cattanach and Reynold Anderson.
Mr. Wellman was born to Mr. and Mrs. Leo (Lottie Hart) Wellman Dec. 31, 1913. He attended Hillcrest School in the town of Rock and was married Nov. 9, 1935 to Grace Nason at Nasonville.
In 1921 he moved with his parents to Wisconsin Rapids, living there two years before returning to the town of Rock. After his marriage he farmed in the Nasonville area and also was employed by Hewitt Packing Co. and Leath Furniture in Marshfield for many years.
In 1972 he moved to Rhinelander, living there until 1977, returning to the town of Rock at that time.
He was 4-H leader for Golden Glow 4-H Club and was supervisor and chairman of the Town of Rock from 1969-1972.
Surviving are his wife; a sister, Mrs. Kenneth (Elene) Loomis, Route 1, Marshfield; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents; a son, Alan in August 1977; three brothers; and two sisters.
