Mr. Kenny Beckom, age 62, of Newnan, passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at his home. He was born on April 7, 1952. Kenny was preceded in death by his wife, Laura Ellen Ayers Beckom, and his father, Wiley Beckom.
Kenny served as a SAFE Officer for many years, touching the lives of many young elementary school students and their families in our community. Kenny also served as a School Resource Officer at the middle school and high school level, reaching out to our youth in so many ways.
Kenny is survived by his sons, Ty and Wil Beckom; mother, Joyce Yeager Beckom; sisters, Vickie and husband Danny Brooks, and Susan and husband Mike Neil; brother, Randy and wife Ginger Beckom.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 2 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home. Rev. David Arrington will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
