Mrs. Belle Hackney, 85, died at 6:40 pm yesterday at the Logsdon Nursing Home, Hamilton. Before going there last March she made her home at 1105 First Ave. Mrs. Hackney was born in Menifee County, Kentucky and had been a resident of Middletown 60 years. Her husband, Hannibal, died in 1950. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs Eva Lions of Phoenix, Ariz, three sons, Virgil and Ray of Middletown, and Arnold of Tucson, Ariz, a sister Mrs. Berta Spratt of Mt. Sterling, Ky; two brothers, Claude and Samuel Shrout of Mt. Sterling, KY, nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 am Friday at the Joseph R. Baker & Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Howard Sears officiating. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home tomorrow from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm.
