Albert O. Cavanaugh, 68, died at 8:37 AM Saturday, Feb. 1, 1992, in Lafayette Home Hospital; he had been in failing health for two years. Born Feb. 26, 1928, he was a lifelong resident of Lafayette. He married Verba Allen on June 7, 1969, in Las Vegas, NV; she died Aug. 16, 1990.

Mr. Cavanaugh retired in 1990 from Purdue University where he was a custodian. Before that, he worked at Crown Laundry for many years. A Marine Corps veteran, he served in Korea. He was a member of American Legion Post 11, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1154, and Moose Lodge. He was a former member of the Teamsters Union.

Surviving are three brothers, Charles T. Cavanaugh of Lafayette, Michael F. Cavanaugh of Battle Ground, and Raymond P. Cavanaugh of Lafayette; and a sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Bryan of Liverpool, NY. Graveside services, with American Legion Post 11 military rites, at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens on Feb. 3, Father Rick Miller officiating.
