Mary Madigan was the daughter of Felix Xavier Beck, Jr., and Adaline B. Renninger. She married Gerald DeSales Madigan on July 1, 1939, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Gallitzin.

At the time of her death, her husband survived her, along with these children: Charles Martin, Michael Gerard, Roberta Ann, Sandra, Lois Jeanne and Mary Faith.

Her funeral Mass was held at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg, with Rev. Clement Gardner.
