Funeral service for Agnes Johanna Boyle, 88, Lawton, will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2014, at Lawton Heights United Methodist Church with Rev. Darrel Maddox, Rev. Monte Jones and Rev. Phil Jones officiating.

Mrs. Boyle passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at her residence.

Burial will be in the Fort Sill National Cemetery, Elgin, under the direction of the Becker-Rabon Funeral Home.

Agnes was born May 17, 1925 in Ratibor O/S, Germany to Maximillian and Agnes Beck. She completed 14.5 years of education and then was employed after graduation by Siemens AG. She married LTC (Ret.) Charles R. Boyle in Hausen/Rhoen, Germany on 20 Dec, 1947. Agnes was a Christian and a loyal member of Lawton Heights United Methodist Church since 1954. She was a Sunday school teacher for over 20 years and was involved in various activities. She was also a longtime supporter of Cameron Campus Ministry and volunteered countless hours. Agnes became an American Red Cross volunteer in 1965 at Fort Sill hospital and was trained as a Nursing Assistant in the Emergency Room. After a transfer to Baumholder, Germany, she established an American Red Cross program and became the Chairman.

Once arriving back to Fort Sill, Agnes returned back to Fort Sill hospital and worked as a volunteer for 15 years in the Laboratory department. Survivors include: her husband Charles of the home, her daughter Nancy Boyle, daughter in law Tisa Boyle and mother in law Ellen Jones, 5 grandchildren-Joseph and Jonna Boyle, Joshua Briggs, Carissa and Chelsea Clark, and 4 great grandchildren-Jason Caleb Boyle, Madison Johanna Boyle, Isaiah and Lucas Sanchez, several nieces and nephews in Germany and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Dennis Boyle, her parents, and 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Sympathy cards can be sent to Becker Funeral Home.
