Herbert A. Almlof, 820 Seventeenth avenue, past master of Moline lodge of Masons No. 1014, died in the Moline public hospital at 7:30 Saturday evening of complications following an operation for appendicitis, which was performed twelve days prior to his death.

When Mr. Almlof was worshipful master of his lodger in 1922 he was the youngest master of Masonic lodges in Illinois. He was a charter member of lodge No. 1014 and a member of the Moline consistery.

Mr. Almlof was born in Moline on Jan. 15, 1896, and attended the public and high schools here. He was married to Beda A. Johnson of Rock Island in Chicago on July 16, 1919. He was employed as a foreman in the Silvis shops.

Surviving are the widow , one son, Herbert jr., 21/2 years of age, his Mother, Mrs. Alma Almlof of Moline, and a sister, Mrs. H.A. Zimmer of Moline. His father Gust Almlof, who was one of the early residents of Moline and Rock Island died in 1907

Mr. Almlof was a member of Trinity Lutheran church in Moline.

The body will be removed to the home from Esterdahl chapel tomorrow morning. Funeral services will be private in the residence at 2 and public in Trinity Lutheran church at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon. The rev. Walter Tillberg will officiate. Moline lodge of masons, No. 1014, will conduct services at the Cemetery. Past Masters of that lodge will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be in the family lot, Riverside Cemetery.
