REXBURG - Mrs. Edna Viola Hill, 51, lifelong resident of the Sunnydell-Archer area, died at her home Thursday afternoon after a lingering illness.
She was born February 20, 1911 at Sunnydell, daughter of David A. and Martha Sarah Hansen Wilcox. She attended schools at Sunnydell and Archer and at the Madison High School in Rexburg.
She was married to J. Ronald Hill, June 20, 1931 at Sunnydell. They made their home there since, where they farmed.
She was a member of the LDS Church and worked in the Primary Association and was a Relief Society visiting teacher and taught in the Sunday School.
Survivors are her husband; three children, Gary R., Bonnie C., and Holly J. Hill, all of Sunnydell-Archer; a sister, Mrs. Samuel (Myrtle) Kennington, Archer; two half-brothers and sister, Floyd Wilcox, Rexburg; Boyd Wilcox, Boise; Mrs. Robert L. (Velma) Burt, Seattle, Washington; and one grandchild. She was preceded in death by one brother and nine half-brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the Archer LDS Ward Chapel with Bishop George H. Munns officiating. Burial will be in the Archer-Sutton Cemetery.
