Robert G. W. Ackerman of 6 South St., Rhinebeck, died Sunday, April 24, at Poughkeepsie. Mr. and Mrs. Ackerman made their home here for the past three years, moving from Connecticut. Mr. Ackerman was born January 4, 1892, in New York city, the son of Robert Ackerman and Lucy Pecht Ackerman. He married Miss Frances Larson. He was sales manager for the Petroleum Heat and Power Corp. for many years. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Howard Kelly of Rhinebeck; a brother, Edgar A. sister, Mrs. H. J. Horst of Tempe, Ariz.; 2 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 27, at the Dapson Funeral Home in Rhinebeck, the Rev. Kenneth M. Cordes, pastor of the Dutch Reformed church, officiating. Burial was in the Rhinebeck cemetery. The Rhinebeck Gazette, April 28, 1960.
