MOULTRIE — Lindsey Hilton Alderman, 96, of Moultrie died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, at Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church in Berlin with the Rev. James Sellers officiating, assisted by the Rev. Jim Osborn.

Interment will follow at Sardis Cemetery. Glen Fowler, Ashley Fowler, Joey Smithwick, Dustin Fowler, Scott Brudett and Derek Alderman will serve as casketbearers.

Born Jan. 19, 1909, in Colquitt County, Mr. Alderman was the son of the late Hiram Patten Alderman and the late Alice Kent Alderman.

He was a farmer and retired from Swift and Co., and he was a member of Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church in Berlin.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Blanche Truett Alderman; four brothers, Lawrence Alderman, Odes Alderman, Clinton Alderman and Dalton Alderman; and a sister, Dora Bennett.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Baker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
