Funeral services for Laverne Jones Beams, 81, of Pearl will be at 11:00a.m., Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at McLaurin Hights United Methodist Church, Pearl. She died Monday, April 28, 2014 at St. Dominic's Hospital, Jackson. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery, Greenville at 4:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
She was born in Morton, MS and was a resident of Rolling Fork for 5 years graduating from Rolling Fork High School. She lived in Greenville from 1957 to 1994 moving to Pearl in 1994 where she was a member of McLaurin United Methodist Church. She was also a member of United Methodist Women. Mrs. Beams worked as a cosmetologist in Greenville for several years.
She is survived by her husband, David E. Beams of Pearl; daughter, Becky Druey (Elmer) of Pearl; son, David E. Beams, Jr. (Toni) of Pearl; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
