Succumbs at 83
Peter N. Botz, 83, of 132
Boulder Road, Solvay, died
Saturday at Crouse-Irving
Memorial Hospital after a
long illness.
A native of Alsace-Lorraine,
Mr. Botz was a foreman for
the Solvay Water and Light
Department before retiring in
1957 after 40 years of service.
Mr. Botz was a communicant
of St. Cecilia's Church.
. He was a member of Prospect
Hose Company 3 of the Solvay
Volunteer Fire Department.
. Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
Elsie Hannom Botz; a son,
Joseph N. Botz; three sisters,
Mrs. Mary Hartigan of Boston,
Mass., Mrs. Julia Street
and Mrs. Catherine Winchell
of Solvay; five grandchildren;
and a great-grandchild.
Services will be at 9:15 a.m.
Wednesday at the John C.
Tindall Funeral Home, 1921
W. Genesee St., and at 10
a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church
where a concelebrated Mass
of requiem will be offered.
Burial will be in St. Mary's
Cemetery.
Friends may call 7 to 9
a.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to
9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral
home. Contributions may
be made to the St. Cecilia
Building Fund.
