Lodi Matron Passes Away
Mrs. Louise Bitterman, Lodi matron, passed away at a Stockton hospital Sunday evening after an extended illness. She was 64 years of age and a native of South Dakota.
She had lived in the Lodi area for the past 16 years, making her home at 423 Cherry Drive.
Mrs. Bitterman is survived by her husband, Jacob Bitterman, and was the mother of Mrs. Clara Hurst, Sacramento; Mrs. Alma Bachman, Galt; Mrs. Leona Bjorkman, Ontario, Calif., and Mrs. Vera Kahler, Kirkland, Wash.
She was the sister of Ida Pauly, Martin, S.D. and Albert Pastian, also of South Dakota. She leaves seven grandchildren.
