Memorial service for Betty Rene Grant, 75, of Lufkin and formerly of Nacogdoches will be at 1 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel wit the Rev. Mike Edmondson officiating. Mrs. Grant died November 14, 2007 Born March 1, 1932, in Nacogdoches, she was the daughter of James Asa and Ola Ma Sandlin Banks. She retired from accounting after 50 years of service. Survivors include a son, John A. Grant of Lufkin; a brother, Raymond Banks of Nacogdoches; sisters, Georgia Mae Hutison and Lydia Matlock both of Nacogdoches; one grandchild; four great-grandchildren. Laird Funeral Home.
