Helena was at the Rotterdam deaf school from 4 September 1906 until the school year 1914/1915. According to the data from the school she was "deaf and dumb".

Helena had three deaf brothers and a deaf sister: Leo Dasberg, Marcus Dasberg, Herman Dasberg and Eva Dasberg (she survived the war). She also had two deaf nephews: Albert Dasberg and Isaäc Dasberg.

Helena married Isaac Dobraszycki, deaf and former pupil of the Rotterdam deaf school.
They had three children: Alida Johanna Dobraszycki (1928-1943), Johanna Jacoba Dobraszycki (1930-1943) and Jacob Dobraszycki, of whom only Jacob was deaf.


Helena, all 3 of her siblings and their families, and their father were murdered in the Holocaust.
