Morton H. Snyder, who died Tuesday morning, March 3, 1976, passing in a moment from "Time"
into "Eternity", when he suffered a fatal heart attack at home.
Age 51, he was born April 7, 1924 at Fowler, Colorado, the son of Morton & Gertrude Weidert Snyder. On February 7, 1948 he was united in marriage to Shirley Theis in Batavia, IL. at Holy Cross Church. They made their home in the Maple Park farming community, where they remained to raise a family of 5; one daughter Barbara and four sons, Daniel of Oswego, Larry of Maple Park, and Robert & William at home. Feeling a kinship with the rows of blacktop that urbanization had begun to plant across the fields of agriculture, he became a paving machine operator for Stahl Construction Co. and for the past 10 years has planted the seeds of urban construction as well as the seeds of his forefathers. He was a member of St. Mary's Church, Maple Park.
In addition to his wife and family he leaves his mother Gertrude Snyder of St. Charles, four sisters, Opal Peterson of Batavia, Clara Klein of Evanston, Gertrude Snyder of Manhattan, IL, & Shirley Berrigan of Niagara Falls, N.Y., two brothers, Leo of W. Chicago and Earl of St. Charles.
He is preceded in death by his father Morton H. Snyder Sr., one sister in infancy, and one brother, Charles.
His funeral service will be held from Conley Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M. to St. Mary's Church, Maple Park at 10:30 A.M. Father William Kriegsmann will officiate and interment will be at St. Mary's Cemetery, Maple Park.
