Jennie C. Affinito, of Monongahela, died Monday, Oct. 12, 2009, in the Jefferson Regional Medical Center, Pittsburgh. Born in Charleroi, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Rose Caligino DeStefon. Jennie was a graduate of Charleroi High School where she enjoyed swimming and playing basketball. She was a member of St. Anthony's Church, a homemaker who especially loved cooking for her "grandkids" and had a passion for the Pittsburgh Steelers. She is survived by three daughters and two sons, Rosalie and Jeannene Affinito, Bernadette and husband Lee Kramer and Mark and wife Kathy Affinito, all of Monongahela, and Bernard R. and wife Billreda Affinito of Dresden, Ohio; eight grandchildren, Patrick and wife Donna Kramer of Monongahela, Tim Kramer of Carnegie, Christine and husband Brian Wagner of Nashport, Ohio, B. Michael Affinito of Columbus, Ohio, Mark A. Jr., Jennie M., Dominick B. and Anthony J. Affinito, all of Monongahela; four great- grandchildren, Leah and Jared Kramer, Matthew and Lizzie Wagner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard J. Affinito, who died Feb. 18, 1993; three brothers, Joseph, Sam and Anthony DeStefon; and a sister, Theresa Corbelli. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony's Church with the Rev. Joseph Feltz, pastor, as celebrant. Committal services and interment will follow in the Monongahela Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Church, 225 Park Ave., Monongahela, Pa.,15063, or to a charity of one's choice.
