Lambert, Mrs. Rebecca Jane Holder, Gerald B. and Lt. Donald Warthen, and brother of Willard A. and David W. Warthen, Mrs. Ethel W. Duvall, Mrs. Louise W. Castell and Mrs. Rebecca Hudson. He also is survived by 14 grandchildren. Friends are invited to call at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Funeral Home of Robert A. Pumphrey, Bethesda, Md., where services will be held on Monday, July 14, at 11 a.m. Interment Rockville Cemetery.

Gerald H. (Whitey) Warthen, 69, former Washington contractor, died Thursday in Due West, S.C., where he had been living since 1950.
A native of Montgomery County, Mr. Warthen lived in the Washington area for about 55 years.
Mr. Warthen is survived by his wife, Mary B., and a daughter, Laura W. Avery of Chevy Chase, and also by two other daughters and two sons.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Robert E. Pumphrey funeral home in Rockville, with burial in Rockville Cemetery.
