Gerald H. Warthen
Gerald H. (Whitey) Warthen, 69, former Washington contractor, died Thursday in Due West, S.C., where he had been living since 1950.
A native of Montgomery County, Mr. Warthen lived in the Washington area for about 55 years.
Mr. Warthen is survived by his wife, Mary B., and a daughter, Laura W. Avery of Chevy Chase, and also by two other daughters and two sons.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Robert E. Pumphrey funeral home in Rockville, with burial in Rockville Cemetery.
