Annie Highsmith m. Thomas Edward Catrett, 18 Jan 1894, Jefferson County, TX

Mrs. Annie Highsmith Catrett, 78, a resident of Liberty and Jefferson counties for 60 years, died here today. She was the widow of T.E. Highsmith, who built the first bridge over the Trinity river between Liberty and Dayton. He was killed here in 1891. Later Mrs. Highsmith became the wife of T.E. Catrett, who survives her. Other survivors are two daughters, Mrs. J.J. McBurnett and Mrs. Lula O'Connor, both of Beaumont. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the Roberts parlors.
