Funeral services for Mrs. Peter Hosfelt, aged 79, who died at her home on Goodrich St., Newcomerstown, Sunday morning at eight o’clock, will be held Tuesday afternoon in the Lutheran church. Burial will be made in the Newcomerstown cemetery.
Mrs. Hosfelt’s maiden name was Elizabeth Stockum. She was the daughter of Christopher and Mary Stockum, and was born in Coshocton Co. near Plainfield.
For the past several years she has been in poor health, and for two years past she has been totally blind.
She was united in marriage with Peter Hosfelt 64 years ago. The last 58 years of her life have been spent in Newcomerstown. He husband, five daughters, Mrs. Martha Ickes, of New Philadelphia, Mrs. Anna Richards, Mrs. Emma Lanning, Mrs. Cora Ray of Newcomerstown, and Elizabeth of the home, and two sons, David, of Newcomerstown, and Edward, of Princeton, New Jersey survive.
