Mother of the poet Eduard Mörike. She was born the daughter of the village pastor, Christian Friedrich Beyer, and his wife Augustina Friederica Beyer, in Grafenberg in Reutlingen. She married the doctor Carl Friedrich Mörike, bore him 13 children, of whom six died young, and she died in Cleversulzbach. She is buried next to the mother of Friedrich Schiller. (Her maiden surname is also given sometimes as Bayer.)
