Leonard Dean Hartman of Ardmore, OK was born at Burneyville, OK on January 17, 1952, the son of Brug and Mildred Faye Hayes Hartman. He passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 in Mercy Hospital Ardmore, Ardmore, OK, at the age of 62.
Leonard was a 1972 graduate of Turner High School and had been employed as a custodian/landscaper for the Edmond Public Schools. He and Lisa Carol Householder were married in the Jimtown Baptist Church on February 4, 1989. Leonard enjoyed fishing, camping and riding four-wheelers, but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed coaching his children’s basketball and football teams.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jessica Hartman Allen; and three brothers, Daril Hartman, Utah Hartman and G.B. Hartman.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa of the home; son, Cody Hartman of Ardmore; daughter and son-in-law, Dustie and Steven Upton, also of Ardmore; three brothers, Johnny Hartman, Bill Hartman and Donald Ray Hartman; two sisters, Rose Dawn Miller and Jo Ann Miller; and three grandchildren.
Casket bearers will be Jack Householder, Leonard Householder, Darrell Reed, David Vernon, Mike Weigel and Glenn Jones. Honorary bearers are Michael Householder, Thurman Householder, Anthony Householder, Ethan Cobb, Kenny Carlile, Paul Welch and Martha Parsons.
