Gloria Jean Abel, 60, of 2012 William Penn Way, formerly of Columbia, died Monday evening at the Community Hospital of Lancaster, after a short illness. She was the wife of the late Theodore Abel, who died in 1986.
Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Elva Kise Bradley and until the time of her death, she was employed as a switchboard operator at the Communication Center of Lancaster.
Surviving are a brother, Kenneth Bradley, Hagerstown, Md., and a sister, Arlene, wife of Merle Gunnet, Dover; and nieces and nephews."
