Mr. Charles F. Foust, 78, of 727 4th Ave., Lakemont, died at 6:15 a.m. Monday, Jan. 4, 1993, at Valley View Home, following an extended illness.
Mr. Foust-retired as a car repairman/welder from Penn Central Railroad in 1976, after 37 years' service. He was also employed as a firefighter for the Pennsylvania Department of Forest and Waters.
He was born Feb. 20,1914, in Altoona, the son of John and Ruth (Quenzler) Foust He married Emma M. Homeridge on May 13,1939, in Lakemont.
Surviving are his wife, four children: Elizabeth R. Kelley of Wailingford, Conn., Barbara A. George and John W. of Lakemont and Rose M. Singer of Hollidaysburg RD 3; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are a brother and two sisters: John W. of Juniata, Idella Decker of Hollidaysburg and Ruth Deffibaugh of Sproul. A sister, Margaret Helsel, died Nov. 20,1992.
Mr. Foust attended Grace Bible Church.
He was a member of Lakemont Lions Club and AARP.
Mr. Foust was a Navy veteran of World War II.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Plank & Stitt Funeral Home, Hollidaysburg.
