AUBURN — Robert D. Bishop, 83, of Auburn died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2007, at his home.

Mr. Bishop farmed all his life and also worked 34 years for Aro in Bryan, Ohio, retiring June 10, 1988. He was a member of the Indian Village Church of God.

He was born July 31, 1924, in Auburn to Roscoe J. and Grace L. (McCann) Bishop. They preceded her in death.

He married Barbara A. Miller on Feb. 14, 1948, in the Lutheran Church in Butler. She survives in Auburn.

Also surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and William Hammontree of Wauseon, Ohio; five sons and four daughters-in-law, Daniel and Brenda Bishop of Auburn, Tom Bishop of Auburn, Bruce and Tresa Bishop of Corunna, Jeff and Brenda Bishop of Auburn and John and Genie Bishop of New Haven; a brother, Stanley Bishop of Auburn; 16 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Wilma Reade and Thelma Smith, and a daughter-in-law, Susie Bishop.

Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Indian Village Church of God in Auburn. The Rev. Raymond Warner will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery of Auburn.

Calling will be Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Feller and Clark Funeral Home, 1860 S. Center St., Auburn, and Friday from 1-2 p.m. at the church.

Memorials are to the Indian Village Church of God, Parkview Hospice or a charity of the donor's choice.
