Joel D. Webb, Jr. 74, of Dallas, formerly of Howland, died Friday, April 25, 2014 at his home. A graveside service is set for 1:00 PM, Monday, April 28, 2014 at Restland Cemetery in Roxton with Mr. Webb’s son-in-law, Mike Adams, officiating. The family will receive guests at the home of Faye Kirkham following the graveside service. Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.

Joel was born December 22, 1939 in Greenville, Texas to Joel D. and Kathryn Lamm Webb. He attended school in Crystal City until the third grade. He graduated from Roxton High School. Mr. Webb worked in the computer/data processing department for Bank of America prior to his retirement. He was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Webb; four daughters, Lezlie Adams and husband, Mike, Wendy Owen and husband, Rick, Jodi Draughon, and Amanda Jouett and husband, Josh; nine grandchildren, Chris Adams, Kristen Smith, Whitney Owen, Britney Owen, Christopher Draughon, Cheyenne Draughon, Chelsi Draughon, Haley Jouett, and Katie Jouett; and three great-grandchildren, Zoey Adams, Gage Owen, and Alivia Owen. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gary Webb.
