VICAR OF ST. MARY'S, CUBBINGTON FOR 37 YEARS - 1880 - 1917.

Son of George Graves Bean and Sarah Bean who were married on the 25th June 1850 at All Saints Church, Kirk Deighton, Yorkshire. They may have been cousins.

He was baptized on the 9th February 1853 in Snaith, Yorkshire.

Rev. Bean married Emma Woodhead in 1880, the marriage was registered in Altrincham, Cheshire.

The Leamington Courier stated on the 24th July 1880, that Rev. B. M. Bean relocated from 57, Parade, Leamington, to Cubbington, Warwickshire.

Baby Gertrude was born 16th March 1885 at the Vicarage, in Cubbington, but died on the 23rd March aged just one week old.

April 1889 - Rev. Bean was appointed Chaplain to the High Sheriff of Warwick.

The 1911 Census states that Rev. Bean was the Vicar of Cubbington, living at the Vicarage with wife Emma, and that they had had three children but one had passed away.

News reached Leamington today that the death has taken place suddenly, at Hove, of the Rev. B. M. Bean, who from 1880 to 1917 was Vicar of Cubbington, Warwickshire. For some years Rev. Bean was Chairman of the Warwick Board of Guardians, his impartiality, good judgement, and experience fitting him in a peculiar degree for that office.

The Probate Calendar states that Rev. Bean had been residing at The Vicarage, Cubbington, Warwickshire, but sometime after 1917 he and his wife relocated to Bath, Somerset. They then decided to move to Rottingdean, near Brighton, for the sake of the reverend's health.

Rev. Bean died aged 67.
Laid to rest on the 13th April.
Emma was reunited with him in 1924.
