Amanda is believed to be the daughter of Marcus Martin. No records prior to her marriage to Matison Lile have been found. Fred Lile's 1928 Missouri Death Certificate gives his mother's name as Mandy Martin and states "she left her place of birth when an infant." The informant on the death certificate is Mildred Parks Lile, Fred's widow. The Lile family was still in Cherokee county, Georgia in 1867 where William H. Lile signed the Georgia, U.S., Returns of Qualified Voters and Reconstruction Oath Books, 1867-1869.

She does not appear to be in the 1870 U.S. census. Any information about Amanda Martin will be much appreciated.
