Son of Joseph Samuel Jett, Sr. and Georgiann 'Nan' (Richards) Jett. He was the second child of 14 children.
Married Ruby Agnes Thompson 21/Jul/1930 at Tecumseh, OK. Joe was working the oil fields at the time.
Joe was a construction hobo, following construction work. He worked for R.H Fulton Pipeline Construction for nearly 25 years. He also worked for Walton and Williams Brothers.
He was a horse trader and fox hunter. He enjoyed working with horses.
His children are Kenneth Dwane, Claude Ralph, Sammy Lou, Nancy Ann, Harvey Gene, Philip Ray, Lana Gay, Philis Maxine, David Terry, and Lester Glen.
