Jane Hobson Morrison was born to Irish parents, William and Alice Murphy Hobson, in 1835. She was one of eight children. On 9 Feb 1858 she was married to William Morrison of Prince Edward, Ontario. She lived most of her life in Hastings County, Ontario. After the death of her husband in Dec of 1898, she moved west to Calgary, Alberta, to live with her daughter Bertha's family. She remained there for many years until her death in July of 1927. Jane, her husband William Morrison, and her father William Hobson are all buried here. Her mother Alice Murphy Hobson is also believed to be here.
