"Mrs. Cecelia Dowdney, a resident of Wellsville for 32 years, died at her home on Seneca street there at 3:30 o'clock Friday morning, January 5, aged 66 years. She was born in New York state on February 7, 1845, the daughter of Joseph Tilman and was a resident of Hornell for 15 years before coming to Wellsville. She was twice married, first to Henry Ackley, 43 years ago. Mr. Ackley died 17 years ago, and in 1896 she married Henry Dowdney, who survives her. She is also survived by a son, Bruce Ackley."
