Mrs. Gay E. Abbott, 79, of 564 Sonora Ave., died Wednesday evening in a local rest home following an extended illness.
A native of West Virginia, she came to Lodi in 1965 from Dixon, Ill.
She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Wilda G. Gray of Lodi; sons, Edwin Garrett of Newton Falls, Ohio, Vernon Garrett of Sterling, Ill., and William Garrett of Amboy, Ill.; a sister, Mrs. Emma Greathouse of Wheaton, Maryland; 15 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Interment in Lodi Memorial Cemetery

Funeral services for Mrs. Gay E. Abbott, 79, of 563 Sonora Ave., who died Wednesday will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Chapel of the Gierhart and Wells Funeral Home.
