Mr. Bork worked for Devac in the Twin Cities for 27 years as a window craftsman. Norman enjoyed fishing and drives in the country with his mother. Over the last few years he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Bork died on Friday, February 28, 1997 in Alexandria. He is survived by two children: Norman "Todd" Bork and wife Monique of Monticello, Lori and Husband Brad Schmidt of Alexandria; two grandchildren; mother, Ethel Bork of Alexandria; one brother, Edwin Bork of Alexandria. He was preceded in death by his father, Otto.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday, March 4, 1997, 11 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Alexandria with Reverend Keith Lentz and Reverend Ronald Otterson officiating. Pallbearers were Thomas Bork, Mike Schmidt, David Dehnke, Duane Soderholm, Kevin DeGier and Bob Franzen. Interment was in East Moe Cemetery. Services were directed by Petermeier's Alexandria Funeral Home.
