WINNFIELD -- Services for Jim W. Poole Sr. will be at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Southern. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Poole, 87, of Winnfield died at 8:40 p.m. Monday in Rapides General Hospital, Alexandria.
He was a member of the South Winnfield Baptist Church. He served as a mail carrier for more than 50 years.
Survivors include one son, James Poole Jr. of Houston; three daughters, Mary Sue Puckitt of Olla, Barbara Lipsey of Tioga and Jimmie Lou Roberts of Winnfield; one sister, Alice Sessums of Baton Rouge; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
