She married Robert "Spider" Moffatt, born August 24, 1885 to Robert Moffatt and Martha Sourbrine. He died March 1943 and was buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lonaconing.
Bessie moved with her daughter and son in law to Chicago, Illinois. Later, they built a house in Decatur, Illinois. Beofre the large house was finished Bessie passed away.
Her body was sent back to Lonaconing for burial beside her spouse.
