Jeffrey Wayne Barr, 51, of Galax, passed away on Sunday, April 20, 2014. Mr. Barr was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Ann York Barr.

He is survived by his former wife Barbara Jean Farmer from Galax, Va., who was born Aug 23, 1967. He married Barbara on June 13, 1986 in Carroll County, Va. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Tony Brooks of Hillsville; father, William Calvin Barr of Hillsville; brother, William Henry "Billy" Barr of Hollywood, FL.; and grandchildren, Justin Beasley, Blaise Jefferson, and Zoe Barr, and nieces Beverly Barr of St. Petersburg, FL, and Lauren Barr of Savannah, Georgia.

A graveside service with burial following was held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 11:00 am at Monta Vista Memory Gardens, Galax, Va. His urn is placed at the foot of the gravesite of Elizabeth. Pastor Andy Edmonds was the minister for the service. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Home & Chapel of Hillsville, Va., served the family.
