Mrs. Frank A. (Irene Marie) Klabunde, 62, of South Elgin, Rt. 1, owner of Klabunde's Tavern and Restaurant on Route 31 for 37 years, died Sunday in St. Joseph Hospital following an extended illness.
Born Fe. 12, 1901, in Genoa, she was a daughter of Frank and Christina Holsker Brown. She had resided in South Elgin the past 37 years and was a member of St. Laurence Church of Elgin. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Floyd Brown of Belvidere and one sister Eva in infancy.
Surviving are the widower, Frank; one daughter Mrs. Leo (Shirley) Warner of Elgin; two sisters, Mrs. Mabel L. Reinert of Elgin and Mrs. Sheldon Crichton of South Elgin and three grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 9 Wednesday in O'Connor Funeral Home, Elgin, to St. Laurence Church for mass at 9:30. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
Rosary will be recited at 8 Tueasday evening in the funeral home where friends may call after 7 tonight.
