The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2000, at the Loflin Funeral home Chapel, Liberty, with the Rev. David Heath officiating. Burial will be in Gilmore Memorial Park, Julian.
Mrs. Jones was the daughter of the late Charlie and Octa Hudspeth Ashby. She was a member of Stevens Memorial Baptist Church, Greensboro. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, J. Reece Jones Sr.
She is survived by her son, Jimmie Jones of Climax; daughters, Judy Fields and husband, Buddy of Climax, Ginger Routh and husband, Jimmy of Climax, Peggy Craven and husband, Jimmy of Chapel Hill; brothers, Robert Ashby of Mooresville, Garland Ashby of Sanford, Paul Ashby, Frank Ashby and Claude Ashby, all of Lexington; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
